Why we're building this in public

Sebवन is three years into being an orchard, and zero years into being a stay. The trees are still young, the cottages are still a plan, and most of what we'd normally put in a "welcome" post doesn't exist yet.

So this journal isn't going to be polished updates from a finished business. It's going to be the actual, sometimes slow, sometimes uneventful process of turning a young apple orchard in Mori into a small place to stay, without pretending we're further along than we are.

Expect posts about land, contractors, water lines, the first foundation, the first frame, and eventually the first guest. If you're following along, thank you for being here this early. Most people only see a place after it's done. You're seeing it while it's still becoming one.
